Teddy Mellencamp is on the way! The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Alum, 41, shared photos of the scars she had from melanoma treatment and told her fans the surgery was a success for her Instagram on Wednesday December 7th. She revealed that 11 melanomas and 3 lymph nodes had been successfully removed and she was doing very well.
Teddi showed the scars on her left shoulder from the surgery as well as another shot of her back taken before the surgery. She explained the results of her tests and surgeries (while reminding her followers to get regular mammograms). “The operations have been successful and the margins are clear. I also have genetic test results and there are no mutations to worry about. And I just had a healthy mammogram,” she said. “Hello to a new sense of peace.”
Teddi went on to say that she has regular check-ups to make sure her health is in tip-top shape. “I will now continue to have myself checked every 4-6 weeks as my doctor says this could be a record number in one area. You know I’m competitive, but that’s a record I don’t want to break,” she said.
while the former RHOBH Star also thanked her fans for their support, encouraging them to take their health seriously and get regular check-ups. “I want nothing more than for you all to take action so you don’t have to experience this. Take inspiration from my scars to get preventative care,” she said. “As always, thank you for all the love, support and well wishes. I feel very blessed and grateful for all of this.”
Teddi first went public with her melanoma diagnosis in October. She shared that she found out she had stage 2 melanoma Instagram Post, where she called the diagnosis a “wake-up call” after she failed to get checked out and didn’t wear sunscreen until she was 40. Shortly after the initial announcement, she said doctors found more melanoma after doing more testing on her birthmarks. Luckily, she now appears to be melanoma free and will be in control of her health.
