Celine DionThe 54-year-old canceled her upcoming European dates in 2023 courage world tour due to her ongoing health issues. She eventually revealed her health diagnosis, which is an incurable illness called stiff person syndrome. Celine “I’m sorry it took me so long to get back to you,” Celine said in one Instagram Video. “I miss you all so much and can’t wait to get on stage and speak to you in person. As you know, I’ve always been an open book and I wasn’t ready to say anything before. But I’m ready now. I’ve struggled with health issues for a long time and it’s really difficult for me to face these challenges and talk about everything I’ve been through. I was recently diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder called Stiff Person Syndrome, which affects approximately one in a million people.”
Celine explained that stiff person syndrome caused her spasms that affected her “daily life,” from walking to being able to use her vocal cords to sing. She then further confirmed that she was not ready to resume her European tour, which was due to begin in February 2023. supporting me and giving me hope,” Celine assured fans. “I work hard every day with my sports medicine doctor to rebuild my strength and performance.”
Still, she didn’t hide the fact that this was a “struggle” for her, especially since it kept her from doing what she loves most: singing. Celine was on the verge of tears as she addressed her fans. “I miss you so much. I miss seeing you all, being on stage and performing for you guys,” she continued. “I always give 100 percent when I do my shows, but my condition allows me to do that right now. In order to get back to you, I have no choice but to focus on my health right now and I have hope that I’m on the mend. That’s what I’m focusing on and I’m doing everything to recover.”
Celine had to cancel other tour dates earlier this year due to severe muscle cramps. She was also forced to reschedule her most recent visit to Las Vegas in fall 2021 due to health issues. But in 2023, Celine will be on the big screen as she stars in the new movie love again Next Sam Heughan and Priyanka Chopra.
In January 2016, Celine lost her husband, Rene Angelil, to throat cancer. She and Rene have three sons together: René Charles21 and twins Nelson and whirl12.
