Just three days before baby Tatum was born, Tia took to Instagram to share a few Polaroid photos of their “last date night” before his arrival. “Last official date before our boy gets here & I was in labor the whole time (not in labor – just Braxton Hicks) can’t wait to use our little camera to capture it all [sic] the pics of him,” she captioned the sweet post. The then-mama bear posed next to her Christmas tree with Taylor in a long sleeve and was pictured smiling from ear to ear.
And earlier on November 27, Tia captioned an adorable family photo saying the photos would soon include a baby. “By this time next month we will have a baby in our family photos. Can’t wait to see how it looks and soak up that new baby smell!” the brunette beauty wrote. Tatum’s birth comes six months after Tia announced her pregnancy via Instagram on June 20th.
In the beautiful black and white photo, the 30-year-old revealed that she was simultaneously excited and sad about the current “season” of her life. “This has undoubtedly been my most challenging season to date. I have never felt such overwhelming sadness and pure joy at the same time. It was difficult to be thankful for the good when one of the most important people in my life was missing the celebration,” Tia wrote. “While I wish I could break all the good news to my dad in person, I’m reassured that he knows it long before I do. Welcoming a new little life while grieving the loss of someone else proves that high emotions can coexist and I have no doubt my dad was involved in that.” She also wished her pops a “happy heavenly Father’s Day.” and Taylor a “happy Father’s Day soon.”
At the time of her pregnancy announcement, Tia also admitted that she was a bit overwhelmed with the pregnancy as she and Taylor had only gotten engaged two months prior. “I’m trying to plan the wedding of my dreams. At this point I was still trying to get married within six months to do it this fall. So I just couldn’t believe it,” she said on Bachelor Nation Click Bait podcast back then. “We weren’t trying to get pregnant, but we weren’t trying hard not to get pregnant either.”
