The early December chill didn’t affect Olivia Wilde’s choice of outfit at the People’s Choice Awards on December 6th. On Tuesday, the ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ star was styled by Karl Welsch, floated down the red carpet in a floaty, sheer dress from Dior’s ready-to-wear 2023 collection. Wilde layered the sheer outfit over black lingerie, adding a pair of black strappy heels and a Dior belt that doubled as a strapless handbag.
The actor’s ensemble, embroidered in a lacy floral print, was the picture of elegance at Tuesday’s awards ceremony. Wilde’s dress had a plunging neckline with lace trimmings and a tiered skirt that gathered in a sweeping train at her feet. The look was supported by delicate spaghetti straps that curved over her shoulders and into her belt to reveal a stunning backless silhouette and Wilde’s four tiny tattoos.
After the red carpet, Wilde – who reportedly broke up with Harry Styles last month – took the stage to accept the 2022 Drama Film of the Year award, presented by Sarah Hyland on behalf of the cast of Don’t Worry Darling She starred, directed and produced.
“It’s an honor to accept this award on behalf of our entire Don’t Worry Darling family,” said Wilde as she thanked the cast, crew and fans. “A lot of people weren’t confident that audiences would ever return to theaters once they reopened.” She added that the film was made with the help of more than 190 cast and crew members. “All these people showed up and worked so hard and made so many sacrifices just hoping to make something you would enjoy. This award means so much to all of us and is a true testament to their hard work. This is for you. Thank you guys, so, so much.
