Second time in less than two months KanyeWest was thrown from Twitter. Its latest suspension comes into the hands of the platform’s new owner, Elon Musk, who suspended ‘Ye on the evening of December 1st. After a Twitter user asked Elon to “fix Kanye,” the CEO replied, “I tried my best. Despite this, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended.”

Elon did not provide the exact tweet that caused Kanye to leave Twitter. Earlier in the evening, however, the rapper posted an “altered image of the Star of David with a swastika inside.” CNN. This tweet came just hours after it appeared Alex Jones’ podcast and spat out more anti-Semitic hatred, including statements about how much he loves Hitler and the Nazis.” He had previously made similar anti-Semitic comments, which is why he was originally banned from Twitter and Instagram in October (his Twitter account was suspended in mid-November restored by Elon before being banned again).

Not only was Kanye banned from social media, but he also lost his partnership with Adidas due to his hateful and insensitive comments. The brand parted ways with him at the end of October.

Kanye’s latest public rant comes amid his divorce from Kim Kardashian is completed. Kim filed for divorce in February 2021, and she and Kanye were declared legally single just over a year later. However, they did not reach a divorce settlement until late November 2022. Kim was paid $200,000 a month in child support, but she and Kanye have joint legal and physical custody of their four children. Kanye was spotted with the couple’s daughter, northwestshortly after reaching the settlement.

However, he confirmed back in September that the children are in Kim’s care “80 percent of the time.” Amidst Kanye’s first anti-Semitic remarks, Kim publicly showed his support for the Jewish people and condemned anti-Semitism. She has yet to publicly comment on his recent controversy.
