Who is behind “thing” on Wednesday?
It is very important to clarify that there is no CGI behind this hand, but a real person. You may be surprised to learn that Victor Dorobantu, a real person who is also an actor, plays Thing in the show. It is easy to tell from the gestures and movements of the thing that it is a person, as it not only moves but also shows many emotions.

Netflix’s Twitter recently posted a series of images showing Dorobantu in a blue body suit, which he wore throughout the shoot. A fun fact about his on-screen hand is that it was made out of latex to make it look like it was severed.
For those who don’t know, “Ding” is a fully functional hand that will stand by Wednesday almost anywhere and come in handy when she needs something. Calling her her best friend or her sidekick on the show isn’t wrong considering the amount of time he spends with her.
