Kanye West and Balenciaga’s long partnership ended in October of this year. The brand ended the deal with Kanye and also ended the Yeezy designs after Yes’s hate speech. Ye’s erratic behavior and outbursts of anger came to a head when he made anti-Semitic remarks online.
His statements against the Jewish community were condemned by celebrities and the public alike. Not only Balenciaga, Adidas and GAP followed suit and ended their long-term collaboration with the rapper. This adversely affected Yes’s financial situation. However, with Balenciaga now under fire, the rapper has taken issue with the designer brand.

Kanye West slams Balenciaga amid controversy
KanyeWest was recently spotted in LA wearing an American flag jacket, baseball cap and his signature Balenciaga rain boots. However, the brand’s logo on the $1,100 boots was covered with a YE24 sticker. The sticker once again announces Yes’s plan to run for office next year. His first trick in the US presidential election didn’t work out.
The rapper, who doesn’t keep his opinions to himself, recently claimed that the Balenciaga situation shows that celebs are puppets because no one is talking about the brand and yet everyone has been trying to ruin his business.
“It shows you that all celebrities are controlled. You don’t see any celebrities talking about Balenciaga’s situation,” he said.
Balenciaga is receiving backlash for its recent campaigns featuring children holding teddy bears in bondage gear. The BDSM-inspired seizures have raised several child safety and child pornography concerns. yes ex wife Kim Kardashiananother longtime collaborator has also spoken out on the issue, as has Bella Hadid.
In silent protest, Hadid deleted photos of her Balenciaga campaign from her Instagram. Julia Fox also shared her thoughts on the TikTok controversy.
Balenciaga has since apologized and issued a statement condemning child abuse. The company has also sued production company North Six and its agent, Nicholas Des Jardins.
