You Season 4 is currently on everyone’s lips. Why? Well, when Netflix announced they were dropping multiple insights With the fourth season leading up to its premiere, fans have been waiting with bated breath for the new content. Another thing many fans are wondering about is who to expect in the new season. I’m talking about new and returning cast members. And who won’t be back for the fourth installment? We’ve shared all of that juicy info below.
Apparently, Penn Badgley returns as Joe Goldberg, the seemingly charming, manipulative serial killer who’s gotten away with murder for far too long. We haven’t seen the last of Joe and his murderous tendencies. If you remember, the season 3 finale ends with Joe looking for Marienne in Paris. This pretty much let us know that Tati Gabrielle would be returning in her role as Marienne in season four. Her casting was later confirmed when photos of her on the set of season four were leaked.
As we made the film, we also learned about more and more new actors joining in You Cast Season 4. We found out that Charlotte Ritchie, Lukas Gage, Tilly Keeper, Amy Leigh Hickman and Ed Speleers had joined Badgley and Gabrielle as regular cast members. Also, Niccy Lin, Aidan Cheng, Stephen Hagan, Ben Wiggins, Eve Austin, Ozioma Whenu, and many others joined as recurring cast members.
But we know what you really want to know. They want to know which characters will not appear in Season 3 You Season 4. Who are they? Here’s what we know.
spoilers ahead You season 3
Is Love Quinn in You Season 4?
Unfortunately, Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti) will not be in season four. After causing so much trouble for Joe and killing people because of her jealousy, Love finally meets her end at the hands of Joe in the Season 3 finale. Joe injects her with a lethal dose of aconite and then sets fire to the house with her inside. Although Love was mentally unstable, I would argue and say that she was one of the best characters in the thriller series. We will miss you dear!
Is Dottie Quinn in You Season 4?
nope The last time we see Dottie (Saffron Burrows) in Season 3 is when Joe drops her off at a rehab facility. Keep in mind that Dottie was going through a divorce and was in emotional turmoil after losing her high-end grocery store and vineyard in the prenup. While drunk, she kidnaps Henry and takes him to her vineyard to set on fire. Love already had an estranged relationship with her mother, but that was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
So why won’t Dottie be in season four? First, if Love is dead altogether, she has no real reason to return. Let’s say Dottie comes out of rehab and finds out that Love is dead. Remember, Joe made Love’s death a suicide and then framed all of the murders on her. So Dottie wouldn’t be looking for a killer since it’s believed Love committed suicide. Also, she already suspected Love had killed her ex-husband, and once she found out Love had murdered more people, she would probably move on with her life and never look back.
Is Theo in You Season 4?
Theo (Dylan Arnold) is another character who will not be returning You Season 4. Luckily for him, he didn’t become one of Love’s victims. Remember, Theo makes his way down to the basement of Love’s Bakery and finds Sherry and Cary trapped in a glass cage. Sherry and Cary tell Theo that Love and Joe are responsible for the numerous murders surrounding Madre Linda, then ask him to find a key to free her from the cage.
When Theo is looking for a key, he meets Love. He begs Love to let him go, telling her he won’t tell anyone what he saw. At first it looks like Love is going to let him go, but then she hits him in the head with a fire extinguisher, causing him to roll down the basement stairs. Love then leaves him for dead. But he is not dead. Joe finds Theo badly injured but still alive and feels sorry for him. He drugs Theo and then takes him to the hospital. The last time we see Theo is when he is wheeled away by his father in his wheelchair as they leave his physical therapy session.
After the traumatic experience and almost dying, Theo probably wants to get on with his life. Also, Theo’s relationship with his father is mended, Love is dead, and Joe is presumed dead, so his story is over.
Are Sherry and Cary in You Season 4?
The quirky couple won’t be back for season four. Sherry and Cary (Shalita Grant and Travis Van Winkle) could have been Love’s victims too, but they manage to escape from the glass cage they were trapped in after finding the keys to free them. Ultimately, they decide to use their horrific experience to make themselves famous. As we mentioned, Love is dead and Joe is presumed dead, leaving Sherry and Cary to get on with their lives.
you season 4 Part 1 arrives Netflix on February 9th, followed by Part 2, which will be released on March 9th.
