Where is Armani from?
Armani was born on September 26, 1996 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. According to his own statements, he started making music in fifth grade UpRoxx, when he started using his first cellphone as a microphone until his mother bought him one in 10th grade.
A snowstorm prompted an all-night recording session that launched his career
In 2012, Armani headed to a recording studio with $150 to work on music for a few hours, per UpRoxx. When a powerful snowstorm hit, the studio staff, Armani and the sound engineer were stranded Don Groove worked through the night and finally settled on the track “Billie Eilish”.
Armani’s father made sure his bike was never stolen
Armani’s father bought him a bike when he was a kid and made sure he was proud of the purchase with some pride. “The way I grew up, my dad was like, ‘I don’t care what happened outside, you can’t come in this house without your bike,'” Armani explained UpRoxx. “Philly has a very strict way of deciding whether you’re going to be the prey or the predator. I can tell you one thing: no matter how the fight went, I went with this bike.”
His favorite Christmas tradition is baking sugar cookies
Speaking in the Mercedes-Benz Interview Lounge during The Z100’s jingle ball concert that year, Armani said his favorite part of the holiday was baking with his mom. “My mom and I usually get together and bake sugar cookies,” he explained. “And I’ll buy her this really big Christmas tree – it can never fit in the house. But I buy her this really big Christmas tree, we make sugar cookies and I only wear panties. …I love my mother.”
Armani gifted his mother a $100,000 bucket
Armani shared a clip of himself handing his mom a bucket of cash to celebrate his newfound success in the music industry… and it might make you cry (above). “Seeing you so happy was worth a lot more than the record deal,” he wrote Instagram. “You saved my life before I could even understand what you were doing. Everything they love about me, I learned from you. You bought me my first microphone in 10th grade. It was $100 I begged you for it like you just trust me lol. And that’s exactly what you did. $100,000 isn’t even worth half of you…just about anything I can afford right now 😂💙 Happy birthday mom, I love you so much.”
