It’s almost time for the 2023 Golden Globe Awards. On Monday, George Lopez’s 26-year-old daughter Mayan Lopez and her “Lopez vs. Lopez” co-star Selenis Leyva revealed the list of nominees on the NBC show ” Today,” as the ceremony returns to the web after a year-long hiatus.

On the film side, The Banshees of Inisherin leads this year’s nominations with a whopping eight nominations, including Best Picture, Drama; Best Actor in a Drama; two nominations for Best Supporting Actor; and a best supporting actress nom. Close behind are “Everything Everywhere All at Once” and “Babylon,” which scored six and five nods, respectively. On the television side, “Abbott Elementary” took home five nominations, closely followed by “The Crown,” “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” “Only Murders in the Building,” “Pam & Tommy,” and “The White Lotus”, who scored all four points.

One of the biggest surprises was the love shown by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for Netflix’s “Wednesday,” which garnered a nomination for the series and one for Jenna Ortega. And Best Original Song might be the most starred category, with contributions from Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga and Rihanna. Meanwhile, Brendan Fraser, who said he would not attend the event if nominated, secured recognition for his work in The Whale.

The 2023 ceremony is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles on Tuesday, January 10, with Emmy-winning comedian Jerrod Carmichael serving as the host. Check out the full list of nominations.
