The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, graced the New York Gala for a prestigious awards ceremony last night. The couple was humbled to receive it Ripple of Hope Award on December 6th. The Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Organization awarded her the coveted title. Although the internet went berserk to celebrate the prestigious award, the couple was not spared media scrutiny.

The couple showed their deep love for each other by holding hands throughout the ceremony. This particularly helped them withstand the press, which bombarded Harry and Meghan with questions about the royal family and the upcoming documentary. While some were curious about Netflix’s six-part series, others simultaneously wanted to know the royals’ remarks.

However, just like their sleek ensemble, the couple dealt with the media as quickly as possible. “Do you put money in front of the royal family??” asked a news reporter. Surprised by the number of reporters, Harry allegedly exclaimed: “so many questions!‘ as the guards escorted him into the hall. Still, Harry and Meghan didn’t provide any particular answers to the hundreds of prying questions. Instead, the media-savvy couple joked and laughed about their presence in the hall and how they made it to the awards ceremony, leaving their children at home.

Amid Markle’s stunning win at the People’s Choice Award for Archetypes, Harry and Meghan were delighted to be recognized for their efforts. The royal family has always been a bit conservative when it comes to regulating Britain’s tabloids for the better. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had none of it anymore. Things got out of hand during her royal stay in the UK. Therefore, the couple refrained from doing so without hesitation.
