The hunt for a new James Bond began after Daniel Craig left the franchise. After playing the titular spy for a decade, he resigned after scoring a hit. no time to die Producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson were reportedly looking for the next actor to take the mantle. Top names like Tom Hardy and Henry Cavill were mentioned again and again.

While Hardy has never played an agent before, Cavill surely has the experience. Not only that but The Tudors Star auditioned for the role back in 2005. Due to his age, however, he lost to Craig; The producers wanted an older actor. But now that a new contender has entered the competition, Henry’s second attempt at the role might not work.

Who is the new Bond contender, coming dangerously close to Henry Cavill and Tom Hardy?

Taylor’s odds are 10-1, which puts him level with Michael Fassbender. Richard Madden is just ahead of him at 9-1. Both Tom Hardy and James Norton are at 6-1. However, Henry Cavill still remains the first choice for the spy character.
