Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke return as Tully Hart and Kate Mularkey Firefly Lane Season 2 Part 1, and it’s all it seems everyone can talk about. Luckily we haven’t seen the last of the unlikely best friends because Firefly Lane returns with the second part of Season 2 in 2023. But will this be the last time we see Tully and Kate, or will there be Firefly Lane Season 3? Here’s what we know.
Firefly Lane Season 2 Part 1 took viewers on a wild roller coaster ride from start to finish. Our feelings were everywhere for everything that had happened to Tully and Kate’s friendship and to them as individuals. It was really hard to see Tully and Kate going through rough patches in their friendship when you just wanted them to reconcile. I mean, those are the girls from Firefly Lane! Their friendship should last a lifetime.
We can’t wait to see what happens with Tully and Kate Firefly Lane Season 2 Part 2. If part 2 is anything like part 1, expect more drama and tears. After all, this is a drama series.
Will there be a Firefly Lane Season 3 on Netflix?
Unfortunately there won’t be any Firefly Lane Season 3. On October 3, Netflix announced that Firefly Lane Season 2 would be the final season. However, to soften the blow, the streamer revealed that the second season would consist of 16 episodes split into two parts. The first nine episodes were released on December 2, and the remaining seven episodes will be released in 2023.
If you watched Firefly Lane Season 2 Part 1 in its entirety, you would understand why the drama series doesn’t necessarily need a third season. As much as it hurts to say, the story of Tully and Kate can easily be wrapped up in season two. I think the creative team on the series and Netflix realized that too. However, I think the extra six episodes were needed to finish the series.
Saying goodbye to one of the best drama series in the world won’t be easy Netflixbut I trust the writers will end the show with a bang.
