Set to become what is set to be a seminal (albeit polarizing) moment in popular culture, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex refuse to hold back in upcoming Netflix docuseries Harry & Megan.
The six-episode series, which will be released in two parts, has been touted by Netflix as “unprecedented and profound.” The project will show Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sharing their perspectives on their time in the British royal family.
The trailer features Prince Harry calling “the pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution” a “food craze” and saying: “No one knows the full truth. We know the full truth.” Meghan also voiced her doubts, wondering if the royal family would ever “protect” her. This will definitely be an eye-catcher!
Netflix writes in the Logline, “The series examines the clandestine days of their early courtship and the challenges that led them to feel compelled to step down from their full-time roles at the institution.”
Directed by Liz Garbus, the series will feature archive footage and interviews with the couple’s friends and family, as well as historians, to go beyond “one couple’s love story” but “[painting] a picture of our world and how we treat each other.”
