Firefly Lane Season 2, Part 1 premiered on Netflix in December 2022, and people tuned in immediately to see the continuation of Tully and Kate’s story. Now people are wondering when Firefly Lane Season 2 part 2 will land. Unfortunately, Netflix has yet to announce the official release date, but a 2023 release has been confirmed.
The drama series follows inseparable best friends Tully and Kate (Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke) who meet as young teenagers on Firefly Lane and quickly form an inseparable bond that will carry them through 30 years of ups and downs.
It was created by Maggie Friedman, best known as the showrunner and executive producer of the short-lived Lifetime series Witches of Ostend. Like many other Netflix original series, Firefly Lane based on a book. It is a television adaptation of the novel of the same name by Kristin Hannah.
Luckily we don’t have to worry about the production of Season 2 as the cast and crew were done by the end of April 2022. We may not have to worry about post-production either, as the final episodes could be ready for viewing at that moment. However, it will likely be a while before Netflix releases the remaining episodes since Part 1 released in December.
When could Firefly Lane Season 2 Part 2 be out on Netflix?
While a confirmed 2023 release year was good to know, an official release date would have been even better. However, Netflix is probably still trying to figure out when they plan to release the final episodes.
I doubt Netflix will release Firefly Lane Season 2 Part 2 in January or February because that’s just too close to the release of Part 1. The streamer will most likely want a large enough gap between the release of Part 1 and Part 2, especially as Part 2 will conclude the series. We suspect we’re considering a spring or summer 2023 release. Anything later than spring or summer just seems unnecessarily long.
However, it’s important to remember that these are just our release predictions, and Firefly Lane Season 2 Part 2 could come sooner or later than we predicted.
