TikTok star dies ‘unexpectedly’ at 21 – Hollywood Life +2023

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the light of our lives, our kind, caring and beautiful daughter, Mega ThalkurHe passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in the early hours of November 24, 2022,” Megha’s family said in a statement sent to her Instagram on November 28th. The statement didn’t reveal any cause for the young star’s “sudden and unexpected” death, instead describing her as a “confident and independent young woman” who will be “madly missed.”

“She loved her fans and would have wanted you to know of her death. At this time, we ask for your blessings on Megha. Their thoughts and prayers will be with them as they continue along the way,” the statement concluded. Many of Megha’s fans filled the comments column with messages of condolence and sadness. As the world continues to mourn the passing of this young star, here’s what you need to know.

“Be yourself, be confident,” reads Megha’s bio on TikTok. Her last TikTok, posted on Nov. 18 — less than a week before her death — saw her strutting across a New York City crosswalk in a mini dress. “You are responsible for your destiny. Keep that in mind,” she captioned the video, adding the hashtags #confidence and #selflove.

In her TikToks and IG posts, she posed and stunted while wearing next to nothing, but she wasn’t afraid to go public with her struggles with her confidence and identity. “I’ve always been afraid to admit I’m good looking because I didn’t want people to think I was conceited,” she wrote in July 2021, “but I’ve learned there’s a big difference between that and confidence! ! When I stopped making self-deprecating jokes and started making self-deprecating jokes, EVERYTHING changed.

She was Canadian

Megha was originally from Brampton, a town in Ontario, Canada Western Newspaper. She was reportedly born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India NDTVbefore her family moved to Canada.

Megha graduated from Western University in 2021

Megha attended Western University where she majored in computer science. She was a model for the CAISA fashion show, the largest student run charity fashion show in Canada Western Newspaper.

“It’s the end of an era,” she wrote in April 2021 under geotagging post “Western University”. “My whole life has changed within the four walls of my room in this godforsaken sewer of a building and I have never felt so many emotions when saying goodbye to something. Many of you may know me from the videos I’ve made here, which is so crazy to think about!! Despite the circumstances, I am so grateful to say that this school year has truly been the best.”

“I will always remember the insane growth I experienced after every sleepless night in my homemade king-size bed and self-care walks around campus — even those where I was threatened by wild geese,” she added. “I really can’t put into words how absurd August through April was, but here are some memories to show a very, very, very small part. To the future when I read this: I’m proud of you! I love you!”

“Body types go in and out of style,” Megha said during her Halloween 2022 Tiktok. “Who cares how you look?” Her message of self-love and positivity has been constant throughout her time online.

“Sometimes you just have to do whatever it takes to stay sane with all the expectations that exist,” she wrote in May 2021. “This is a reminder to do something today for no other reason than because.” you just feel like it. ”
