There is a thermal paradise in Castellón with water that is 25 degrees all year +2023

We have the wrong idea that to see the world and discover earthly paradises we must take the plane and travel many kilometers. But that urban legend is just that, a legend that does not stand on its own. After discovering the little town that transports us to Tuscany -less than an hour from Barcelona- or marveling at the wild garden located near Toledo, now it is the turn of the fountain of the Montanejos Bathsa thermal paradise in Castellón perfect to visit all year round (regardless of the outside temperature).

This is the town less than an hour from Barcelona that promises to transport us to Tuscany while we enjoy a good glass of wine

The fountain of the Baños de Montanejos in Castellón

According to legend (and this time, it is not urban), King Abu Zayd created Arab baths in Montanejos so that his harem could stay beautiful and young. On October 13, 1863, this place was declared of public utility by the Royal Order, and since then it has become a small earthly paradise capable of transporting us to an idyllic and magazine destination without the need to travel thousands of kilometers.

With a water temperature, according to the City Council, of 25 degrees all year round, they have healing properties. The source of the Baños de Montanejos is located on the right bank of the Mijares River next to the remains of the spa.

Enjoying a luxury enclave

As if it were a fantasy movie, in this place we find a natural pool located between ravines. Over the years it has become one of the main attractions of the town, and it is that this spring provides medicinal properties while it is nestled between large limestone rock walls.

While tickets cost 3 euros through their website, at the box office it will cost us 3.50 euros. If we do it in situ, we can run out, because in summer it fills up quickly.
