Morgan Myles is still in the running to become the next champion of The voice. Team Camila’s only competitor is one of the top talents of season 22. HollywoodLife spoke ONLY to Morgan about what it was like working with him Camila cabello as a coach.
“Camila is so personable. She texts me one to one all the time. She really, really cares. We’re only going to chat about the song choices, even if it’s the Devil’s Advocate or she’s with me and maybe just wants to discuss a few pros and cons on how to go about it so we can make the most of it we possibly can. I also love the fact that we’re united in storytelling and we pick really well-written songs and then make them my own.”
Morgan admitted she appreciates how Camila helps her approach performances from a “well-written song point of view.” She added that she loves this Camila.doesn’t take itself too seriously. I never have either, but it made the very serious competitive mood a little less anxious for me. There’s just so many elements that I really enjoy really working with her.”
For the top 10 live show, Morgan wowed with her rendition of Chris Stapletons “Tennessee whiskey.” Morgan will return to the stage during the Top 8 live show on December 5th. Morgan revealed that she wants to open up even more with her performances.
“We sure have something in our back pocket. I wasn’t able to share two really vulnerable stories in my life,” she said HollywoodLife. “I was a nanny turned mother-like figure to two children who lost their mothers to ALS. It was an 8 year thing. I mean it’s such a deep story. Also, I lost my cousin, who is more like a brother to me, to brain cancer at 33, to which we also lost our grandfather. I would like to devote myself to this story and have a really nice performance.”
She continued, “I still have to play the piano. There’s so much more that I feel like I haven’t really released to the public yet. All the coaches said: “You are so real and authentic from day one. you are emotional We believe everything you say.’ But I want to explain why I’ve come this far as a person. My heartbreak, the breakup… I’m okay with sharing these stories. I am not ashamed of her. It made me a better writer. It made me a better artist.”
