It’s officially the best time of year for music lovers. Spotify has released its 2022 Wrapped experience, and audio enthusiasts are already flocking to the streaming app to find out what their most-streamed songs say about their personality. But it’s also time to see what the world’s most streamed songs of the year say about humanity as a whole – or at least Spotify’s 456 million listeners in 184 countries.

In addition to personalized playlists for all of its users, Spotify also released its lists of the most streamed songs, albums and artists of 2022 on November 30 as part of Spotify Wrapped. While 2021 held a few surprises, like music newcomer Olivia Rodrigo snagging the year’s most-streamed song “Drivers License,” 2022’s lists were a bit more predictable, with long-established top artists occupying the top spots .

Harry Styles reigned in 2022; The lead single from his Harry’s House album, As It Was, was the world’s most-streamed song of the year. “Heat Waves” by Glass Animals, “Stay” by The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber, “Me Porto Bonito” by Bad Bunny feat. Chencho Corleone and Bad Bunny’s “Tití Me Preguntó” followed in that order.

Considering how often Bad Bunny appears on the most-streamed songs list, it should come as no surprise that he was the most-streamed artist overall for 2022, with his album Un Verano Sin Ti also making the most-streamed list streamed albums.

Artists like Taylor Swift, Drake, The Weeknd, Drake, BTS, and Doja Cat have also had amazing years, popping up on several most-streamed lists. Read on to find the most streamed songs, artists, albums, podcasts and audiobooks of 2022 according to Spotify streams.
