Taylor Swift makes her directorial debut with her own screenplay +2023

It was only a matter of time before Taylor Swift took her rightful place in the director’s chair. She has appeared as an actress in films such as The Giver and cats, and directed the short film All Too Well on the release of Red (Taylor’s version) Late last year, so news that Taylor is to direct her first feature film really doesn’t come as a surprise.

As noted by Diversity, Taylor has teamed up with Searchlight Pictures for her first foray into film. She’s already written the script (again, no surprise!) but that’s all the information we have to share about the project for now – no plot details or casting info has been shared yet.

“Taylor is a one-of-a-kind artist and storyteller. It is a real pleasure and privilege to work with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey,” Searchlight Presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield said in a statement Diversity.

While we’re still amazed at how Taylor managed to find the time to write a script while re-recording her old albums and releasing surprise albums, this news is very exciting. She has a number of famous actor friends who may be cast on the project, including All Too Well stars Sadie Sink and Dylan o’brien -> Actor, or maybe her married best friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. (Or maybe her partner Joe Alwyn?)
