It was the best of times, it was the worst of times… to be stranger things Fan. As much as we loved everyone stranger things Season 4, the series has been battling for many awards nominations this year. First, the Emmys snubbed all the actors on the show, namely stranger things Season 4 still secured a few Emmy nominations, none of the incredible performances garnered any recognition.
Now the same thing is happening at the Golden Globes, but even worse! Somehow stranger things didn’t receive one single Golden Globes 2022 nomination, which is really disappointing. Most fans would agree that Sadie Sink has put in a fantastic performance this season and it’s a shame she hasn’t received recognition for her work.
Joseph Quinn was also a major breakthrough on the show as newcomer Eddie Munson, a loveable metalhead who captured hearts worldwide, but even he failed to garner a nod.
Stranger Things season 4 is snubbed by the Golden Globes
The good news is that though stranger things didn’t get love from the golden globes, they cleaned up at other awards shows. Noah Schnapp took home Male TV Star of the Year 2022 at the People’s Choice Awards, and the show itself also took home two awards at the PCAs. Millie Bobby Brown also received a nomination for Female TV Star of the Year 2022.
stranger things received multiple nominations and awards at the Creative Arts Emmys and the Primetime Emmys. Sadie Sink, Joseph Quinn, Millie Bobby Brown, Robert Englund and Gaten Matarazzo all received Saturn Awards nominations, and the show won Best Streaming Horror and Thriller Series.
So overall, though stranger things didn’t receive a Golden Globe Award nomination, at least it wasn’t completely disqualified from all other awards! The series is also returning for a fifth and final season. Hopefully last season gets a lot more attention.
