Stage Crasher arrested after interrupting Game Awards 2022 with bizarre Bill Clinton shoutout +2023

There was a nasty surprise last night The game prices when a person fell onto the stage during Elden Ring’s acceptance speech after winning Game of the Year.

Founded in 2014 by Geoff Keighley (who is also the host), the awards aim to recognize “creative and technical excellence in the global video game industry”. This year’s ceremony was streamed live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram and Steam.

However, the event had a hiccup when it presented its most prestigious award.

A stage crasher snuck onto the stage with members of the Elden Ring development team, including director Hidetaka Miyazaki, as they approached the stage to accept their award for Game of the Year. The individual stood in the background during the group’s acceptance speech before stepping up to the microphone.

Instead of using his brief moment of fame to say something meaningful or a hilarious joke, he made a bizarre comment about former President Bill Clinton. “Hey, it’s my turn. You know, I just want to say a quick thank you to everyone and to say that I would like to give this award to my Reformed Orthodox Rabbi, Bill Clinton. Thank you everyone,” he said as the exit music played in the background.

At that moment, the Elden Ring team seemed visibly confused and the mystery man was escorted off the stage by security after making his comments. As this was the final award of the night, Keighley took the stage to congratulate the winners and say goodbye.

After the show the moderator tweeted“The person who interrupted our Game of the Year moment has been arrested.”

Many felt both shocked and overwhelmed by the crasher. one wrote“If you’re going to jail for storming The Game Awards, you should at least say something cool like ‘Where’s Silksong.'”

Other joked“Winning Fromsoft’s Game of the Year award only to be interrupted by a weird and sinister kid saying cryptic things no one understands is kind of branding by accident.”

Others say that the firecracker’s speech is a “Anti-Semitic dog whistle‘, with many claiming he was previously featured on far-right conspiracy portal InfoWars.

No further updates were released about the person. However, Keighley shared that this year’s show “new viewership peaks on YouTube and Twitch” and is trending worldwide on Youtube.
