No matter how hard the Sussexes try to keep things straight, chaos has now become inevitable with every action they take. Some, due to their ignorance, others due to apparent media outrage, are making things very messy for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle hired a bodyguard for their family’s safety, it even turned out to be nothing less than controversy.
The self-exiled couple had reportedly mistakenly used a convicted criminal as their protector. The bodyguard, who was reportedly a police officer, has been charged with gross violence in the past. Backlash erupts as royal pundits claim they wouldn’t have done it had they known the background. However, Markle and the Prince have yet to make a decision about it.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a convict bodyguard
Daily Mail recently released that her bodyguard, Pere Daobry, was once accused of domestic violence in 2016. The 51-year-old former police officer beat and tortured her wife over some unspoken little things. While sentencing the attack, his wife had brutal wounds and swelling on various parts of her body, including her neck and back. Paparazzi recently spotted him with the duo a month later. He apparently drove Harry and Meghan from Frogmore Cottage in Windsor to London’s Euston Station.
Insiders have raised questions about Meghan Markle’s stance on a chauvinist society’s oppression of women. The Duchess has consistently spoken out about how women are often denied their basic fundamental rights to survive with dignity. From her weekly podcasts to various public campaigns, she has always championed the basic needs of American citizens. As such, many did not like dealing with someone as such with a past that was completely at odds with their own ideologies.

In fact, Meghan Markle will be attending an event called Power of Women at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown today. Last year she appeared before the US Senate to campaign for a ‘Paid vacation for all Bill‘ to the then Speaker of the House of Representatives. It therefore remains to be seen what steps they will take against the accused bodyguard.
