Olivia Wilde is ready for a resurgence of indie sleaze. On December 6, the director attended the People’s Choice Awards, where she received the Drama Movie of 2022 award for Don’t Worry Darling. Though her sheer Dior lace dress drew quite a bit of attention, her “marinated” makeup deserves a moment of its own.
The star of Wilde’s Glamor was her smudged eyeliner – a key feature of the makeup trend. In addition to her defined eyes, her skin was radiant and looked inhabited or “marinated.” Wilde also opted for plump, hydrated lips, but kept them free of added color. Additionally, her hair was styled into loose curls to complete the look.
“Marinated” or “Tumblr” makeup follows the comeback of gothic beauty.
