Leia’s couple that evening was Ignacio of Bourbon, a relative of King Philip VI, who represented the Spanish aristocracy at the ball. Other notable guests of the Ball are Natasha Connery (granddaughter of actor Sean Connery) and Undine Peck (granddaughter of the great Gregory Peck).
Every year, the Debutante Ball changes its charity theme. This year, the funds raised went to support Chef José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen organization. The foundation supplies food to people affected by any type of crisis, such as during military conflicts, as well as the Necker-Enfants Malades Children’s Hospital in Paris.
