Love Is Blind season 2 star Iyanna McNeely officially filed for divorce from Jarrette Jones after a year of marriage. E! news confirmed on October 4th. According to court documents obtained by the outlet, McNeely filed in Cook County Circuit Court citing irreconcilable differences.

On Nov. 29, McNeely spoke about the breakup in an emotional TikTok video after their divorce was finalized. She captioned it: “I love this man. Of course, I can only speak from my experience, and I hope Jarrette can become really vulnerable among those he loves. I have no regrets but will and will learn I’m sure I’ll share more about my marriage on my podcast as the processing progresses, but for now I wanted to share it with those who might relate. For everyone else going through a divorce, a breakup, or just general grief, it’s fine. It’s okay to feel, it’s okay to process, and it’s okay to lean on those closest to you. Every experience should teach, cut and stretch.

In the video, McNeely begins, “Well, it’s official. Divorce really is like grief, and as much as people laugh at how long we’ve been married, I think my expectations made it come true, my hope made it come true, my effort made it come true, my tears made it come true , so I cry for this girl that I was at the beginning of this marriage. I was so hopeful and I had less baggage and I was optimistic and I was healed.

She continued, “I might be crying and I might be sad right now, but I’m glad I’m moving forward…it’s really done now, so I’m letting it go.” I let it go I don’t have to Don’t hold those expectations anymore. I no longer have to turn to someone who doesn’t have the ability to give back. Now I can just focus on my friends and family and the people who see the value in me, the people who support me and the people who remind me of who I am… a new chapter – a whole really new book. It’s a good thing. No tears anymore. I’m tired of being a damn sad girl. “
