Political statement on the runway by Louis-Gabriel Nouchi
Things get political during the Louis-Gabriel Nouchi fashion show in Paris. A model, presenting the designer’s Fall Winter 2023 collection, holds a small white sign in front of her chest with an important message: Demand an end to executions in Iran. The message is handwritten and quite clear: “Stop Executions in Iran”.
Inspired by “American Psycho”, the collection takes a backseat to the political message.

Four protesters have been executed in Iran since the protest movement began in September. Two more executions are imminent. UN Human Rights Commissioner Volker Türk recently stated that the Iranian government is using the death penalty against demonstrators in order to intimidate the Iranian people and sow fear within the population. The protests in Iran relate to the state’s authoritarian government. The trigger is the death of Jina Mahsa Amini in Tehran, who died at the hands of the Iranian vice squad due to an allegedly improperly fitted headscarf.

Seidensticker fights for equality with a charity cloth
“Equal rights can only take place if the abuse of women and minorities is finally ended – also in the working world.” With these words Ursula Karven presents the petition C0190 on Instagram, which calls for external advice centers and control mechanisms for all branches of work in order to avoid bullying, sexual harassment and sexualised violence to be heard in the workplace.
