river rose is a mama’s girl! Kelly Clarkson took her 8-year-old daughter to the 2022 People’s Choice Awards for a night of fun. They sat side by side and hugged throughout the show after Kelly won the 2022 Daytime Talk Show.
Kelly took to the stage and gushed, “I have a date night with my daughter River Rose.” After delivering a speech, Kelly admitted that she was “going to take my little girl for ice cream.” River could be heard shouting “Go Mom” from the audience.
Kelly and ex Brandon Blackstock also have a 6 year old son named remington. The “Stronger” singer mentioned her son during her acceptance speech. “And Remy, I know you’re home, you’re not feeling well. We love you baby!” Kelly said.
The daytime talk show host looked stunning in a red ruffled dress. Her hair was pulled up in a messy topknot. River was gorgeously dressed for her evening, wearing a sparkling gold dress with matching tights and shoes. She also wore a cute headband as an accessory.
Kelly noted that she thinks this award is “really cool because it’s where people vote. And I feel like the last 20 years my whole career has been people literally voting for me or getting something. Kelly famously won the first season of american idol with America’s voice.
The Grammy winner and Brandon split in June 2020 after 7 years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized the following year in August 2021 after a dispute over assets. “Obviously everyone knows there was a big divorce and it was about two years and not easy with kids,” Kelly said PERSONS again in June 2022.
According to the divorce settlement, Kelly has primary custody of River and Remington TMZ. Brandon gets the kids one weekend a month. He currently resides in Montana. He was paid $45,600 a month in child support and $115,000 a month in spousal support.
