Now that she’s been thrust into the spotlight for her breakout role as Wednesday Addams on the Netflix series Wednesday, Jenna Ortega’s fashion takeover is well underway. The 20-year-old star has a long acting resume, best known for playing Vada Cavell opposite Maddie Ziegler in The Fallout; Elle in the second season of “You”; and Tara Carpenter in Scream. The former Disney ‘Stuck in the Middle’ actress was a client of the stylist Enrique Melendez Since 2016, the duo have consistently worked together to pay tribute to their latest projects with every outfit they dream up.
Lately they’ve catered to their Wednesday phase with a black ruffled silk and lace Versace wedding dress and a sheer Saint Laurent number over it high waisted underwear that reflected a ’60s silhouette, the same decade that her figure became known to the world.
Ortega also has close ties to the Valentino house, having sat front row at the brand’s Spring/Summer 2023 show and attended the afterparty in a bright yellow mini dress. In her very first time, she also collaborated with Pierpaolo Piccioli Met Gala momentwho wears the label’s iconic platforms that live on in her wardrobe.
Discussing his close collaboration with Ortega, Melendez told POPSUGAR that comfort is key. “It’s important to encourage style development for all of my clients, especially the younger ones. I always want my ladies to feel empowered. I strive to dress them tastefully, and I want them to always know I have 100 percent their back,” he said.
