Leah knife and jaylan Mobley finally engaged Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, as they celebrated their one-year anniversary in Costa Rica on the December 6 episode. But their relationship high didn’t last very long because when Jaylan told Leah that he asked her stepdad’s blessing before proposing, she got quite angry. Apparently Leah doesn’t like her stepfather Lee very much. Leah told Jaylan that he was “the man” in her life and he shouldn’t need another man’s permission to marry her. However, Jaylan told Leah that he was simply seeking Lee’s blessing out of respect. Still, Leah said if Jaylan should have asked anyone, it should have been her mother, to whom she is “close.” She was actually so upset with Jaylan’s conversation with Lee that she basically ruined their dinner after the proposal. Jaylan couldn’t believe Leah was so negative about the situation and they ended the evening quite awkwardly.

Meanwhile, Cheyenne realizes she forgot to buy Zach a ring just days before her wedding. Briana meets with Devoin’s mother to discuss his gambling addiction, but instead they end up fighting. Jade hands her mother an olive branch and invites her to Kloie’s birthday party.
