The royal family is talked about daily by people, news outlets and social media. And with the new documentary from Netflix Harry and Megan Now out in the world, the prince and his wife are definitely a topic of conversation.
The six-episode docuseries are part of the couple’s overall deal with Netflix to create a variety of content. The production explores their early days as a couple, which led to their departure from royal life, and some friends and family speak out for the first time.
The pair stepped down from their jobs as senior members of the royal family, which includes achieving financial independence, in 2020. That means no more security, and UK taxpayers’ money would no longer be there to support it.
The docuseries aims to shed light on the reasons why the duo left the monarchy, and some of those reasons could stem from issues within the institution itself. Could it be because of King Charles?
Is Prince Harry Charles the son?
Yes, Prince Harry is the biological son of King Charles. Charles and the late Princess Diana married in 1981. The two welcomed Prince William in 1982. Harry, Duke of Sussex was born in 1984. Over a decade later, in 1996, Charles and Diana divorced, and the beloved princess died in a car accident the following year.
In 2005 Charles married Camilla Parker Bowles, his longtime partner – also during his marriage to Diana. The two have no children together.
While no official word has come from Charles or the palace, the king doesn’t appear to be endorsing his son’s Netflix documentary. Corresponding Us weeklyA source told the outlet he was “concerned” the documentaries would cause “irreparable damage” to the monarchy.
