A fashion secret! Keke Palmer was able to conceal her growing baby bump with some stylish pieces.
The Nope star, 29, surprised fans during her Saturday night live Hosting debut when she unbuttoned her chocolate brown Sportmax blazer to reveal her bare pregnant belly. The Emmy winner is expecting her first child with her boyfriend Darius Jackson.
“There are some rumors going around, people have been saying in my comments, ‘Keke is having a baby, Keke is pregnant,’ and I want to set the record straight — that’s me,” Palmer said during her monologue on Saturday, Dec. 3 SNL before opening the outer garment. She continued, “I mean, I’ve been trying so hard to keep it on rock bottom because I’ve got a lot of stuff going, you know? People kept coming up to me [and saying,] ‘Congratulations.’ I’m like, ‘Sssh, can you all stop? I have a spirits sponsorship lined up. Cash the check and then we can go to the friggin’ baby shower!’”
After the reveal, the hustlers Star gushed about her glorious new chapter, saying: “This has been the greatest blessing and I’m so excited. Guys, I’m going to be a mom!”
Looks like Palmer’s long double-breasted coat made it easy to keep her status as an expectant mother under wraps. In the weeks before her SNL Appearance, the SCream Queens The actress covered her baby bump with oversized silhouettes, fun textures and billowing fabric.
Palmer looked radiant in a red Robert Wun gown at the 13th Governors Awards on November 19. The silk number featured a plunging neckline and a peplum design at the waist that poked out past her stomach. A few days earlier, the Illinois native looked like a princess at the CFDA Fashion Awards in a floral design by Carolina Herrera. The off-the-shoulder robe featured a belted bodice and a billowing skirt. She paired the dress with matching knee-high boots. The pattern and shape of the dress created an illusion and drew attention away from her midsection.
At the Time100 Next Gala, which she hosted on October 25, The Happy sound Actress stunned in a pink Christian Siriano mini dress. The voluminous gown featured layers of tulle that camouflaged her changing body.
“Last night I hosted the TIME100 Next Gala and got to wear @csiriano’s most beautiful dress,” Palmer captioned a carousel of her ensemble. “It was a wonderful evening with incredible people. The only caveat is that my ears still haven’t popped from my flight there. Omffffffffgggggggggggggggg!!!”
