How did Jason Bateman and Amanda meet?
For those who don’t know, besides being a fabulous actress and Jason Bateman’s wife, Amanda is the daughter of famous singer Paul Anka. Both married in 2011 and have been enduringly married for over two decades. He recently revealed his love story with Amanda.
The story goes back to the time when Bateman was working as a child actor. After initially appearing in the silver spoon, the 53-year-old star appeared in The Hogan family. During this time, he went to an LA Kings game, where he first met Amanda in 1988. But being a celebrity child herself, Anka wasn’t blown away when she met child celebrity Bateman.

Where most people would think it was Amanda who would have suggested the hit star, it was Bateman who made the first move. Anka wasn’t interested at all at first and most of all she didn’t like Jason Bateman’s habit of partying all the time. And so, they didn’t start dating until 10 years after they first met.

They ended up dating when Amanda gave him an ultimatum to get sober and he was so in love with her that he successfully did so. Then again, Bateman’s reason for marrying Amanda was because she was his closest friend. Corresponding the thingsBateman said: “I figured if I just wanted to get married once, maybe I should marry a friend.”
