George Clooney was the epitome of class when he stopped fixing his wife Amal Clooney, work out during a recent red carpet event! The exceedingly handsome leading man arrived at the 45th Annual Kennedy Center Honors Artist’s Dinner in Washington DC on Saturday, December 3rd for the chivalrous procession. And the people who taught him to be such a gentleman, his parents Nick & Nina Clooneywere there to witness it!
The Oscar winner, who wore a classic tuxedo, paused during a red carpet walk to make sure Amal looked perfect in her stunning red gown. When she gave her an embarrassed look, Amal waited patiently while George eased her up and sent her on her way. Just another day in the life of a superstar couple!
The glamorous event was held to honor the 2022 Kennedy Center honorees, who were selected for their lifelong contributions to American culture. Next to George, Christian singer Amy Grantlegendary soul singer, Gladys Knight; Cuban-born American composer Tanya Leon and Irish rock band U2 — Bono, The Edge, Adam Claytonand Larry Mullen Jr. – will all be honored this year.
“Growing up in a small town in Kentucky, I never imagined that one day I would be the one sitting on the Kennedy Center Honors balcony,” George said at the event, per Daily Mail. “To be named in the same breath as the rest of these incredible artists is an honor. This is a really exciting surprise for the whole Clooney family.”
George and Amal have been going from strength to strength since getting married in September 2014. While fans were surprised that the once engaged Hollywood bachelor had tied the knot, they were even more amazed that he became a father and welcomed twins in 2017 Ella and Alexander. And it sounds like Goerge was just as surprised! “Listen, I didn’t want to get married. I didn’t want to have children. And then this extraordinary person came into my life and I fell madly in love,” he said Marc Marron on his WTF with Marc Maron Podcast in November 2021. “Then I knew from the minute I met her that everything was going to be different.”
