As the frontman of the band U2, Good, 62, is loved for his emotionally charged music so it’s no surprise he’s a dedicated husband and father. The Irish rocker, born Paul David Hewsonpublished his new memoirs, Surrender: 40 songs, one storyin November 2022 and the book is full of personal details.
He’s not just delving into his romance with his 40-year-old wife Ali Hewson, 61, but he also reflects on family life. Together they have four children: Jordan, eve, Elijahand John Hewson. But what do we know about the offspring of the rocker?
Bono’s four children are all grown and have successful careers of their own. Mama Ali raved about the children Irish Daily Mirror in March 2020. Addressing her talent, she said, “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. I’m just so happy for them, every single one of them, just hoping they find their way.”

Jordan Hewson
Jordan, 33, is Bono and Ali’s oldest child, born May 10, 1989. After graduating from Columbia University in New York, she brought her talents to the tech world. The rocker’s daughter is the founder and CEO of tech platform Speakable, a company that “aims to make civic engagement more accessible and effective,” they say her side.
Jordan seems to be making a name for herself in her industry. She entered forbes’ 30 under 30 European Social Entrepreneurs List 2019. “Dublin-born Jordan Hewson makes it easier to put words into action. Their flagship product, an “Action Button,” can be embedded in news pages that discuss social issues and encourage readers to donate, email, or sign petitions,” the outlet described her and Speakable.
Eve Hewson
Eve Hewson is Bono’s second oldest, born July 7, 1991. The actress graduated from NYU before studying acting at the New York Film Academy. Her big breakthrough came in 2014 with Steven Soderberghs the kink. From there, roll in Steven Spielberg’s Bridge of Spiesthe Netflix thriller series behind her eyesand the historical drama The lights followed.
Eve admitted that her father wasn’t initially thrilled with her decision to pursue acting. In conversation with the Irish day star She admitted back in 2012, “It didn’t sit well with my dad… I’ve been playing since I was 15 and my parents were just scared. I think because they’ve been there and they know what Hollywood is, especially for a woman.”
Hewson dated One Tree Hill actors James Lafferty from 2010 to 2015. She is currently playing in the dark AppleTV+ comedy Bad Sisters which premiered in August 2022.
Elijah Hewson
Elijah Hewson was born on August 17, 1999, the second youngest and first son of Bono and Ali. Just like dad, he is a talented musician. He has been playing in the band Inhaler since 2016. The alt rock group has released their debut album It won’t always be like this in 2021, and they are expected to discontinue their follow-up Cuts & Bruises in 2023.
Speaking about stepping out of his dad’s shadow, he told the 2021 Irish examiner“We’ve definitely found our own fanbase in the UK who may not know who U2 is or are. It definitely opened a lot of doors, but I think those doors are closing just as quickly because some people might have prejudices against the band.”
John Hewson
Bono and Ali’s youngest child is John, who was born on May 21, 2001. John is still enjoying his youth and staying out of the limelight.
His Instagram account is private but occasionally pops up on his siblings’ social media. In late October 2022, he appeared on Eve’s feed enjoying some time in Texas.
