in the Everything I didn’t want for Christmas, Gabourey plays the hapless Emily who sends a wish list to Santa Claus on a wine-drenched evening, only to find the wishes, some of which she can’t even remember writing down, actually come true… and yours whole world becomes an alternate universe. With the help of Kel’s character, Emily must decide what she wants want and what she needs before Santa takes his last sleigh ride of the year.

The special teaser sees Gabourey ordering Kel to tell Santa to take it back, in an apparent reference to a wish the North Pole native has granted her. Kel asks Gabourey to realize that it’s not that easy to ask for something like that. “You have to prove to Santa that you’ve changed, that you’ve learned your lesson and that you’ve got the Christmas spirit back,” he tells her. “And if you don’t, you will be in this alternate universe forever.”

When Gabourey tries to thwart the idea, Kel explains that if she doesn’t do as he explained, her last wish on the list will be permanent. After admitting she can’t remember her last wish, Kel pulls out his trusty tablet, looks down at her wish list and says, “You wished for the whole world to be turned into fruitcake.”
