In hindsight, Kanye West and Harry and Meghan are like two poles of the globe. One is a rapper who used to make billions before he left his family and became the subject of all controversy and now only makes millions. The other is a couple who were a central part of the British monarchy where they didn’t have to worry about money but left family after facing many injustices and are now making millions from just a single deal with Netflix. Not very much different are they?
But in the eyes of empowerment coach Ashley James, they are. So different that she wants people to stop paying attention Harry & Megan Netflix documentary and instead focus on Kanye West.
Why this empowerment coach wants people to focus on Kanye West
Simply put, 2022 was a wild year. We started with one of Hollywood’s top actors slapping someone onstage at the Oscars, and now we’re ending with Kanye West speaking about his love for h**ler on live TV. And while those moments captured our full attention, generating memes and hilarious remixes at 1000kph, that didn’t change the fact that the pandemic-stricken globe still hasn’t healed. Besides, if the Harry & Megan The Netflix documentary was released, many laughed at her crying in front of a $1,625 Hermes blanket, but didn’t catch the real essence of the joke. But the empowerment coach and avid Twitter user has noticed and wants others to take notice, too.

While the tea the Sussexes spilled in their documentary about the royal family is infectiously delicious, it offers little more than gossip. And of course to keep the million dollar deal Netflix fast.
It’s not just the media. We as a society care too much about Meghan and Harry and celebrities like them. If there wasn’t demand, Netflix wouldn’t be making a documentary about it. We all should care more about the above things.

And James is trying to use her influence on social media to draw attention to real issues like child poverty, violence against women and mismanagement of public funds. But also Kane West.

The reason for this is the fact that while West’s rants are ridiculed on the internet, at the end of the day they bash an entire community.
