The White Lotus Season 2 Episode 6 “Kidnapping” definitely adds to the suspense HBO Show. Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge) is in Quentin’s (Tom Hollander) clutches, Lucia (Simona Tabasco) struggles with her pimp Alessio, and Jack (Leo Woodall) ultimately leads Portia (Haley Lu Richardson) to the true nature of his “uncle.” ” But no one seemed more upset this week than Ethan (Will Sharpe). After realizing that Cameron (Theo James) and Harper (Aubrey Plaza) were flirting at a beach bar and disappearing, Ethan was convinced the two had met secretly. Ethan’s paranoia washes over him in the episode… but is he right? Did Theo James’ Cameron and Aubrey Plaza’s Harper have sex this week? The White Lotus?
Since The White Lotus Season 2 started, there was friction between Harper and Cameron. In Episode 1, Cameron made a point of undressing in front of Harper and was seen secretly touching her thigh over dinner. Harper doesn’t appear liking Cameron, but she showed a dirty side in last week’s episode.
in the The White Lotus Season 2 Episode 6, Ethan is initially mad at Harper because she doesn’t believe he didn’t cheat on her with local Italian girl Mia (Beatrice Grannò). He confronts her about it and she replies that they are no longer sexually attracted. As Ethan begins to see more and more of Cameron’s duplicity, he also notices that Harper is hanging out with his college roommate. They seem to be flirting and when Ethan comes back from swimming they are gone. Harper claims via text message that she went to her room to get a hat. Ethan rushes into the room in a panic, only to find a suspicious set of circumstances. Harper has locked the bedroom door while the door to the couples’ adjoining suites is unlocked.
Until the end The White Lotus In Season 2 Episode 6, Ethan not only confronts Cameron about the situation, but also imagines the scene of the adultery. As he disappears into his and Harper’s room, he sees Cameron and his wife having sex on a table until his own knock on the door breaks them apart.
Did it really happen? Is Ethan’s theory correct? Did Harper and Cameron have sex? The White Lotus Season 2 Episode 6?
The White Lotus Season 2 Episode 6 Ending Explained: Did Harper and Cameron Have Sex?
We do not know it! Sorry to be a downer, but The White Lotus Creator Mike White did a very good job making it explicitly unclear whether Harper and Cameron had sex.
Let’s look at the timeline:
- Cameron, Daphne (Meghann Fahy), Ethan and Harper go to the beach. Daphne jumps off when she gets the last available massage spot. She really wants that massage!
- Cameron and Harper go to the bar, where we are later told that Cameron is doing Ethan a favor by telling Harper that Ethan didn’t have sex with Mia. However, from Ethan’s perspective, it looks like the two are flirting.
- Ethan goes swimming very emotionally. When he returns, Cameron and Harper are nowhere to be seen. Harper left a text saying they went into the room to pick up her hat. Ethan knows that Cameron undressed in front of Harper the last time they went to the hotel room together and follows him.
- When Ethan comes into his room, he can’t get in because Harper locked the door. She says awkwardly, “Just a minute.” It actually takes a moment before she opens the door.
- Ethan immediately notices that not only did Harper lock her door, but that the door to Cameron’s room is unlocked. Ethan freaks out, but Harper just says she’s going to get her hat and Cameron is coming to get a book. Harper says she accidentally locked the door because she had a tequila shot.
- As soon as Ethan and Harper leave their room, Cameron walks out of his as if on cue.
It’s entirely plausible that a tipsy Harper walked into the room to get her hat and didn’t realize she was locking the door. Ethan’s increasing paranoia seems to indicate that’s exactly what happened. Harper needed a hat, Cameron wanted a bookshelf…closed.
That is, the narrative structure of The White Lotus Season 2 proved Cameron to be a toxic alpha male who lusts after what Ethan has and that Harper has expressed a desire for more sex in reassessing her own marriage. She’s unhappy with Ethan for a number of reasons, but mostly because they’re — as she puts it — too young to be that old. It would suit both Cameron and Harper’s characters to bond. (And if Cameron undressed in front of Harper the First when he enters her room, what will he do if they really get along?)
It’s really in the air. However, what’s more important than whether or not they did it is the fact that Ethan is convinced they did. We’ll see how this plays out for Ethan and Harper and their “friends.” The White Lotus The season two finale airs next Sunday on HBO.
