Cardi B and her husband offset hold a united front after a suspect in her boyfriend’s murder is arrested and migos bandmate Take off. The “Bodak Yellow” singer and her rapper husband were spotted together in Miami on Friday, December 2 after Offset performed at nightclub Vendôme during Art Basel. Cardi B rocked a tiny red mini dress and matching pumps, while Offset kept it cool in a graphic sweatshirt and jeans.
The police arrested him on Thursday Patrick Xavier Clark33, and accused him of fatally shooting Takeoff (b Kirshnik Khari Ball)which took place in the early hours of November 1st at 810 Billiards & Bowling in Houston, Texas. A 22-year-old man named Cameron Joshua was also charged with illegally carrying a weapon.
During the press conference announcing the arrest, Houston Police Commissioner Troy Finner also sheds some light on what happened on the tragic night. “The event was a private party,” Finner explained. “A lucrative dice game took place at the event. After that, an argument broke out in front of the bowling alley, which led to the shooting.” Finner added that Takeoff was “not involved in the argument” and was an “innocent bystander.”
On the day of Takeoff’s funeral, Cardi B took to her Instagram to pay tribute to the Migos member who stood alongside Offset and his uncle Quavo, garnered 2 Grammy nominations. “Takeoff, your untimely death, has brought so much pain and sorrow to so many lives,” the New York native wrote on Friday, November 11, to Tragedy.
Offset’s tribute via Instagram was just as emotional. “The pain you left me is unbearable,” Offset, Takeoff’s cousin, began. “My heart is broken and I have so much to say but I can’t find the words. I went to sleep and woke up hoping this was all a dream, but it’s reality and reality feels like a nightmare.”
