Before the cheating scandal, did anyone have a strong opinion? Who knows. All I know is that I, along with many other hungry viewers, regularly tune into the weekday show to see if they’ll be performing.
Robach and Holmes have been absent from the show since December 5 TMZ reported that ABC News President Kim Godwin called her cheating scandal an “internal and external distraction” during a phone call with executives and took her off the air indefinitely. The pair hosted two shows together, on December 1st and 2nd, after their alleged affair was exposed by The Daily Mail on November 30; However, Robach was absent on November 30th – along with her third host, Dr. Jennifer Ashton.
When it came to the December 5 episode, Robach and Holmes were quietly replaced by backup anchors Stephanie Ramos and Gio Benitez, with Ramos declaring the two “have the day off”.
Since then, the network has remained fairly quiet about its plans for the two fallen anchors, but over the weekend Yahoo! reported over the weekend that ABC News newcomer DeMarco Morgan will step in as co-host. But is he a temporary fill-on or a permanent host? We’ll just have to wait and see.

I like to think they’re somewhere on the west coast, surfing or something, but that’s unlikely. If they’re still in talks with ABC, it’s safe to say they’re staying in NYC.
