Colin Hanks has had an amazing Hollywood career and is about to embark on a new project via one of Tinseltown’s own: a John Candy Documentary. Busy Phillips
Colin and comedic actress Busy Phillips Dated college at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles in the late 90’s. “He was my college friend!” Busy continued live with kelly. “We met when I was 18 and Colin was 19… We’re very, very close friends now — his wife and I are close, he and my husband are very close. We’re going on vacation together.”
“We met 20 years ago!” she continued. “And we’re connected a lot. And I have moments where I’m like, ‘How cool that we knew each other at that defining moment?'”
Colin echoed the sentiment when he showed up to surprise Busy in the episode. “We got our first TV shows within the same week. We got our first films within the same week,” he explained. “We were able to experience all the very special moments in the life of a young actor together.”

Colin met Samantha through mutual friends in the late 2000s, which the actor recounted The New York Times that they “had the same circle of friends and knew about each other but never paid attention”. The couple got engaged in 2009 and married a year later on the rooftop of the London Hotel in West Hollywood, where celebrities such as Reese Witherspoon and Alyssa Milan witness of the exchange of vows.
Samantha has worked behind the scenes in Hollywood, primarily as a production assistant on projects such as the film Zathura: A Space Adventure, and the TV series fins for the first time and heavy secrets, according to her IMDB. She also had a few small acting roles.
Her most important role, however, is clearly that of a mother! Samantha and Colin welcomed their first child, daughter Olivia Jane, in 2011 and a second daughter, Charlotte, in 2013.
“It’s nice to be the king of the castle, but it’s also nice to know that when the woman buys the feminist t-shirts, she buys one for me, too,” Colin said of the father of two girls persons in 2020. “I love being a dad so much and they bring us so much joy and entertainment on a daily basis that I want to make them as happy as possible and hopefully some good stuff.”
He added, laughing, “I know there’s going to be bad things that can’t be helped, but I promise I’ll pay for therapy.”
