The Met Gala 2023 not only has a lot to offer in terms of fashion
The first Monday in May is a public holiday for fashion fans, because that’s when the Metropolitan Museum of Art opens its doors once again. Under the title “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”, numerous prominent guests flocked to the popular Met Gala last night and showed their knack for fashion, composition and history with their looks. While this year’s gowns tended to be simple, in part due to the rather black-and-white theme, the beauty transformations were all the more exciting.

Above all, actress Florence Pugh surprised with a drastic transformation. Last seen with medium-length brunette hair for a film role, she sported a cropped buzz cut on the red carpet at the 2023 Met Gala. The new hairstyle is said to be due to her new film project “We Live In Time”, but she knows how to stage it in a great way with an elegant headdress.

Another Met Gala beauty trend is directly related to Karl Lagerfeld’s cat, Choupette. None other than Doja Cat himself will present himself on the red carpet at the fashion evening with cat prostheses and elegant cat eyes.
Lil Nas X, 24, was similarly beastly, who was also staged as Choupette. Star make-up artist Pat McGrath used over 5,000 crystals to create a futuristic look that transcends the line between human and animal. A real work of art!
