With rising temperatures and hours of sunshine, we tend to get rid of old ballast. We are also treating our hair to an upgrade for spring. It should be cooler, more casual and fresher. The first trend hairstyle of spring is just right: the bubble bob!

Bubble Bob – what?

Soft, playful, delicate and feminine – this is how we start spring 2023. Hailey Bieber showed us how it was done, and so it was only a matter of time before stylists around the world created their very own versions of the bob cut. On social media we have already discovered some nice examples of how the bob is now coming along. It is significantly more airy, softer and rounder than we are used to. It also has its name according to its shape: it is cut in the shape of a bubble. The baseline is still straight, sloping slightly towards the front. The big change is at the back of the head.

The back area is tiered to create the round shape. The density and fullness of the back of the head is minimized, making the whole look appear lighter and fresher. Perfect for summer!

The Bubble Bob is so diverse

Bubble bob with swoosh

In the bubble bob with swoosh, the parting is worn on the side. One section of hair is placed behind the ear, the other section is given volume by gently backcombing.

Straight bubble bob

The straight bubble bob, as the name suggests, is worn sleek. Here you work best with a straightening iron to get the shape right. The hair caresses your face, lying around it almost easily. Whether side or center parting is up to you.

Layered Bubble Bob

The layered bubble bob is the most casual variation of the hairstyle. There are also a few steps on the sides to create even more dynamics. You can add extra texture with hair powder.
