Scott Calvin doesn’t let everyone down when it comes to celebrating Christmas. In this EXCLUSIVE preview of The Santas Finale, Scott crosses paths with Gary behind bars. Scott points out that the bauble has only gotten darker.
“Did you notice that Simon didn’t even look like Santa?” Scott asks Gary. “He didn’t have that beautiful belly, beard and all. This means that the Santafication process has not yet started. He didn’t put the coat on.”
Gary confirms what Scott says about Simon. When Scott is confused, Gary says, “No, I’m telling you. He lost his coat on the first day. It was a complete mess.”
That’s exactly what Scott needed to hear. “Let’s fix this!” shouts Scott. Knowing Scott, he already has a plan to save Christmas.
Tim Allen returned to the beloved role of Scott Calvin after 16 years. For the Disney+ series, Tim’s daughter Elizabeth Allen DickShe plays his onscreen daughter, Sandra Claus. Tim spoke along HollywoodLife ONLY about his wonderful experience working with his daughter.
“There are scenes I have to deal with with my daughter Sandra Claus as Santa that reflect the moments we had together as a father and daughter,” said Tim. “I don’t know what else to say. That just doesn’t happen. I finished the scene and we drilled that scene. Everyone said it was emotional. It didn’t hurt that I looked into the eyes of my loved ones like that. This is my youngest and she said it was an amazing experience. There is no way to describe it. It was wonderful.”
The synopsis for the season finale reads, “The Calvins race Simon to find Santa’s cloak to save Christmas. Realizing his mistake, Simon steps aside so Scott can be Santa Claus again. The elves are returning and everyone is scrambling to get this year’s Christmas deliveries on time. Scott takes his family on the delivery trip, then they return to retake their place as the first family at the North Pole.” The Santas finale premieres December 14 on Disney+.
