What is Lady Chatterley’s Lover on Netflix about?
Lady Chatterley’s lover introduces us to Connie (Corrin) who is marrying into money through her husband, Sir Clifford Chatterley (Duckett). When he returns wounded from the First World War and can no longer walk due to a war injury, frustration builds between the couple.
That’s when Connie meets the gamekeeper at Chatterley Estate, Oliver Mellors (O’Connell), and falls in love with him. Their secret meetings led them to a sexual awakening, Netflix shares. The couple aren’t as cautious as they should be, and news of their affair spreads, leading to local gossip. So, will Connie follow her heart or go back to her husband as is expected of her?
The film is based on the novel of the same name by author DH Lawrence. The book was published in Italy in 1928. Behind the scenes, director Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre, writer David Magee and producers Laurence Mark, Pete Czernin and Graham Broadbent bring the story from the book to the screen.
