Christina explains that the main reason for this meeting is that Sumit’s family gets to know her. She hopes Sumit’s family will “open their hearts a little bit more to the relationship and the love and happiness that you see.” Christina adds, “I just want you to maybe open your heart a little bit.”
Amit’s wife, shreeShe admits Sumit’s mother has a “hard” time accepting this relationship. Christina says it’s been 10 years now. It’s time for Sumit’s mother to come over. Jenny isn’t going anywhere.
After Sumit’s father says he and the rest of the family will never accept the relationship, Jenny chimes in with a pretty big ultimatum: “I’ll never be accepted. I don’t want to take him away from his family, but I think maybe it’s better if we move on and live in America then.”
She continues: “And then maybe we won’t upset the family so much. We won’t be seen together I guess.”
The whole time Sumit is silent. He doesn’t support Jenny at all. “I am shocked that Jenny has moved to America with my family. I’m afraid of how they will feel and how they will react,” Sumit said in his confessional.
When Sumit’s family asks Jenny and Sumit if they really plan to move to America, Jenny quickly says, “Yes, we plan to.” Sumit still doesn’t say a word to Jenny or his family. New episodes of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After Airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on TLC.
