6 binge-worthy Netflix shows to watch before 2022 is over +2023

I can’t believe it, but we’re only a few weeks away from 2022. This year has been great for Netflix releases as we’ve finally seen the return of stranger thingsalong with other highly anticipated titles such as Virgin River, The Umbrella Academy, ozark, and more. While we’ve certainly been blessed with content on the streamer in 2022, we have a feeling 2023 could be even bigger and better.

There are already so many shows confirmed for 2023, but while we wait for the new year to begin, here are some of the binge-worthy titles currently streaming on Netflix.

Binge-worthy Netflix Shows

Do you have some free time during the holidays or just need to put on a good show while the temperatures continue to drop? With these picks we have exactly what you need!

You

If you are a fan of thrillers and haven’t watched yet You on Netflix, what are you doing? The addictive series stars Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg, a serial killer obsessed with women he sees from afar and must battle his inner demons. As the season progresses, he moves to different locations and forms new relationships. You has introduced some great performers including Wednesday‘s Jenna Ortega and The spookis Victoria Pedretti.

You is returning for Season 4 in 2023, so it’s the perfect time to consume the series before the new season comes out. Season 4 will be split into two parts, with part 1 releasing on February 9th and the second on March 9th.

The latest addition to this list is one that has taken the world by storm. Wednesday was released on Netflix in November 2022 and has been a hit ever since. In the teen-friendly show, Jenna Ortega plays the titular character of the Addams Family, who attends a new school called Nevermore Academy. There, she learns of a prophecy to save the school and her classmates, and she must follow it.

Wednesday is eight episodes long, which makes for an easy weekend binge if you have the time. The series broke viewership records and those who have seen it are just waiting for the announcement of the second season!

shadow and bone

Calling all fantasy lovers! shadow and bone is one of the most popular shows on Netflix, and with good reason. The series is based on the Grishaverse novels by Leigh Bardugo, and the first season follows protagonist Alina Starkov as she discovers she has special powers that could actually save the world. The second season is scheduled to be released on March 16, 2023, so there is still time to watch the first season. But don’t wait too long! This show is exciting, fun and really entertaining to watch.

Outer Banks

Another series returning in 2023 is Outer Banks, one of the funniest Netflix originals yet. The teen drama follows a group of friends who live at the OBX by the water. In season one, protagonist John B uncovers clues that may lead him to his missing father and buried treasure. So far there have been two seasons of the riveting show and the fanbase has only grown with the debut of new episodes.

Outer Banks Season 3 is slated for release in 2023, although we don’t have a release date yet. However, star Madelyn Cline seemingly spilled the beans during an interview in which she said the show would return in February. So if that’s the case, you’d better get on with the first two seasons now!

The Witcher

Based on the popular book series by Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher is now two seasons deep on Netflix and there’s another one on the way in 2023! The series stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter that we follow in every episode. There were some changes to the show this year when it was announced that Liam Hemsworth would replace Cavill in Season 4. But first we have to The Witcher Season 3 to look forward to, coming to Netflix in Summer 2023.

Plus, the prequel series The Witcher: Origin of the Blood debuts this year on December 25th. If you are a fan of the fantasy genre, you should definitely check it out The Witcher Franchise. It will be worth it if you like it!

1899

1899

Netflix has a huge library of international titles, and one of the newest and most popular is 1899. The Mystery Period series was created by Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar, the German filmmakers who directed the critically acclaimed series Dark on Netflix. If you’re a fan of twisty stories that are hard to predict and might leave you scratching your head, 1899 definitely worth the binge. With a total of eight episodes, you can watch it all in one weekend. And you will definitely want it when you start!

1899 has yet to be renewed for a second season, but we hope to hear good news about the future of the series soon.
